The Community Foundation of the Gunnison Valley came about from the merger of two community foundations serving Gunnison County in 2007– one located in Gunnison and one in Crested Butte. Now one foundation, CFGV serves the same communities, nonprofits and causes. We’ve increased our assets, our grantmaking and our nonprofit and community programming. We are, of course, grateful to our current donors, and we want to celebrate the early visionary major donors to each of the original organizations’ endowments.
