Ways to Support the People of Ukraine

As the world watches the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine unfold, many are wondering how they can help. We suggest reading this article so you can ensure the support you give Ukraine is responsible and is being maximized to benefit those who need it most.

Below is a list of organizations supporting the people of Ukraine (this list is not exhaustive):

Berks County Community Foundation’s Fund for Ednannia
The fund at this US-based community foundation will benefit ISAR Ednannia, a national network in Ukraine whose mission is to support the development of local philanthropy.

CARE
The Ukraine Crisis Fund at Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere (CARE) will provide immediate aid including food, water, hygiene kits, support services and direct cash assistance.

Center for Disaster Philanthropy
The Center for Disaster Philanthropy’s (CDP) Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Recovery Fund will focus on addressing humanitarian needs that arise, particularly among the most vulnerable, marginalized and at-risk internally-displaced peoples (IDPs) and refugees.

GlobalGiving
The Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund will support humanitarian assistance in impacted communities and surrounding regions where refugees have fled.

International Committee of the Red Cross
The Red Cross’ humanitarian work aims to help people rebuild their lives and cope with the wider consequences of conflict.

International Medical Corps
IMC has been delivering primary health care and mental health services in eastern Ukraine since 2014 and is raising funds to expand those services for people affected by the conflict.

International Rescue Committee
Donations help to provide food, medical care and emergency supplies to refugee families from Ukraine.

Médecins Sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders
MSF works with local volunteers, organizations and health care professionals to help people travel to health care facilities and access prescribed medications.

NGOs for Ukraine
This is a list of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) operating around the world who are providing support directly to the people of Ukraine.

Project HOPE
Project HOPE is mobilizing emergency teams and shipping essential medicines and medical supplies to affected areas in Ukraine.

Save the Children
Save the Children helps to deliver essential humanitarian aid to vulnerable children in Ukraine and around the world.

Ukrainians of Colorado
Collecting donations to send packages of medical supplies to Ukraine.

UNICEF
UNICEF’s Humanitarian Action for Children provides conflict- and disaster-affected children with access to water, sanitation, nutrition, health and safety services.

UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR)
UNHCR aims to provide emergency assistance to families in Ukraine including cash assistance and opportunities for resettlement in the U.S.

Voices of Children
Voices of Children, a charitable foundation based in Ukraine, helps provide psychological and psychosocial support to children affected by the conflict.

World Central Kitchen
Founded by Washington, D.C. chef José Andrés, the organization is currently helping to provide thousands of meals in Poland, Romania and inside Ukraine.
