Kathy Fogo has maintained a sole-practitioner general law practice since 2008, with emphasis on municipal law, real estate matters, landlord/tenant issues, estate planning and probate and business organizations. Since 2012, she has served as the Town Attorney for the Town of Mt. Crested Butte, Colorado; the City Attorney for the City of Gunnison, Colorado; and general counsel for the Gunnison Valley Regional Transportation Authority and Mountain Express.
Kathy was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, but has lived in Colorado since she was two years old. She graduated from Ponderosa High School, in Parker, Colorado, and graduated from Knox College in Galesburg, IL with a double major in history and political science. She graduated from Valparaiso University School of Law in 1991, cum laude. After law school, she returned to Colorado and began looking for a job in a mountain or small community. She moved to Gunnison in June 1995 to begin her legal career with a local law firm. She has been fortunate to be able to live and work in the valley she loves since that time.
Kathy’s outside interests include pickleball, hiking, camping, lake days, long walks with her dogs, cultural activities, and nearly anything outside or with friends.
