Practicing interior design in the Elk Mountains of Colorado is a dream come true for Laura. She was born and raised in Kansas, and her family always spent as much free time as possible at their home in Mt. Crested Butte when she was a child.
Laura earned a BFA from the Department of Art and Design at Fort Hays State University and moved with her dog, Piper, to Crested Butte for good in 2007. Soon after arriving in CB, Laura fell in love with Josh Egedy, a teacher at the Community School. They were married in the fall of 2013 and welcomed their first child, a daughter, in June of 2016.
Laura has enjoyed growing her design business with projects in Kansas and Colorado and clients from all over the country. She continues to love a lifestyle of snow skiing, mountain biking and simply exploring the Gunnison Valley’s spectacular backyard.
