Meet Kathy Fogo

Kathy Fogo moved to the Gunnison Valley in June of 1995 after graduating from Valparaiso University School of Law in 1991. Over the last three decades, she has worked as a lawyer representing individuals, organizations and even our local municipalities, serving as Town Attorney for the town of Mt. Crested Butte from 2012-2022, and currently representing the City of Gunnison, the Gunnison Valley Transportation Authority, and Mountain Express. While she has served as a board member for CFGV for a number of years, she recently stepped into the role of Vice President.

I wanted to get back to volunteering for a nonprofit and when I got a call about board service with CFGV I jumped at the opportunity because CFGV impacts and assists so many facets of the community.

What would you like the community to know about CFGV?

CFGV truly is Here for Good – funding, resources, community and non-profit governance and training opportunities, impact, reach, etc.

What are your hopes for the future of CFGV?

I hope that it continues to grow its influence and reach to assist the community.

Where are folks most likely to run into you in the Gunnison Valley?

They can find me on the pickleball courts, trails, campgrounds, and at local watering holes.

Is there anything else you want our newsletter readers to know about your charitable interests in the Gunnison Valley?

I think it’s important to give our time, talents, and resources to our community as we can because we all benefit from those efforts at one time or another.
