Strategic Planning Part II: From Start-Up to Maturity
November 15, 2019 – 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Montrose United Methodist Church – 19 South Park Avenue, Montrose, CO
Strategic planning, fundraising, board development, reserve fund development and other topics often seem like “one size fits all” practices. But nonprofits move through very distinct stages – startup, growing, mature, dying/reinventing – and the challenges and opportunities predictable at each stage will influence your planning, infrastructure, resource development – and the kinds of people you’ll need for both board and staff. During her February workshop on strategic planning, Illene Roggensack referred to these “life stage effects”. In November, she’ll dig deeper, describing how to recognize your stage as well as how this recognition affects everything you do. Don’t worry if you didn’t attend in February – this workshop will stand on its own.
