Fred is a long-time second homeowner from Wichita, Kansas, who started skiing at Crested Butte in the early 1960s and built a second home in Mt. Crested Butte in 1983. Fred is in the construction equipment sales business and is active in community philanthropy. He was a co-founder of the Wichita Community Foundation and is an advisory director of both the Murdock Foundation in Wichita and the Wichita State University Foundation. Fred is a passionate believer in the value of the community foundation to the community and to the donors it serves and feels the Foundation is an ideal way for part-time residents to support their second home communities.
