Kathy Barnhart

Kathy-BarnhartKathy received a Master’s Degree in Reading and Learning Disabilities from the University of Missouri in Columbia.  She taught all levels and developed a study skill program for high school freshman as well as testing and tutoring for a group of child psychologists.  Kathy and husband, Clif, lived in San Antonio for 30 years, serving on numerous boards and chairing fundraisers ranging from school carnivals to galas.  Kathy and Clif moved to Galveston in 2007 where Kathy serves on the Board of the Ronald McDonald House.

The Barnharts started coming to Crested Butte in the mid-1980s and decided to purchase a home in 1998.  They call CB home all summer and all winter each year.  Kathy has been actively involved with the Center for the Arts for several years.  She chaired many Tour de Forks seasons and was President of pARTners – both Center for the Arts programs.  She currently serves on the Event Committee for CFGV.

Kathy and Clif have two children.  Their daughter lives with her family in Crested Butte, and their son lives with his family in New York.
